Holy Queers & Tricky Myths - Vom Schein der falschen Heiligen is an exhibition project I co-curated with Vienna-based artists Florian Aschka, Wilhelm Binder, Larissa Kopp, Berivan Sayici and Miroslava Svolikova for the gallery Bernsteinzimmer in Nürnberg (Germany). The group show intertwines various queer/feminist artistic approaches, that explore the (de-)construction of creation myths, symbolic narratives such as oral and visual traditions.
The exhibition openening and performance programme take place over the course of 3 days and feature luscious lecture readings and echoing sculptures by Miroslava Svolikova, two video-installations and a sensitivity workshop (eggs, eggs, eggs) by Wilhelm Binder, a photographic series, a video installation and a performance by Berivan Sayici, photographic solo works by Larissa Kopp and Florian Aschka, a photo installation by Florian Aschka and myself as well as a separte video and photo installation I made.
